DIRTBIKEMIKE'S MOTOCROSS CAMPS
The 2008 DIRTBIKEMIKE Motocross Camps will be held during the months of June and July. This will be the tenth year for the camps and they will be at Lost Creek Park near Amity, Arkansas. Located about 20 miles west of Hot Springs, Arkansas, the camps are offered in, three and four day sessions for 2008. This year, we will offer two three day camps for mini riders only, plus our regular four day sessions. All meals and lodging are included in the camp fees. Campers are housed during the camp in a dormitory setting with bunk beds and bathroom. You must provide your own motorcycle, riding gear and fuel. There will be a mechanic on duty for any minor or daily bike maintenance that might be required. Any major maintenance must have prior approval. All riders will be involved in the daily maintenance of their machines and anyone wishing to learn more about keeping their bike in tip top shape will be given instruction. Total available riding time is usually around six hours per day. Not all riders will ride this much as some time will be spent receiving instruction and observing other riders. Actual riding time will be divided between participating in drills to enhance skills and free time to playride or practice new skills. With the warmer temperatures during the months of June and July, we always head to the lake or river for a couple of hours in the water. Usually from 1pm to 3pm, you'll find us relaxing in the Caddo river or Lake DeGray. Anytime we're not riding our bikes, swimming or eating, we'll find time to shoot some hoops, bang some ping pong, throw some horseshoes or just watch some motorcycle videos. (oh yeah, we do a lot of bench racing at night too.) Remember, this is a camp. Parents are not allowed . If you decide to send your rider to our camp, you need to allow them the space they need and want.

Our camps are open to any skill level rider, from beginner up to pro. We've had riders as young as four and some over fifty years old. Everyone can learn new skills riding dirt bikes and you're never too young or too old to have fun. We have five Pro level riders on hand for each camp that act as instructors and counselors. Two mechanics are always available for bike maintenance and a three man crew maintains the tracks to race day conditions. Three cooks keep our campers happy with hearty meals and healthy snacks. Three of our staff have sports medicine and coaching backgrounds. Four are college graduates and two have Masters degrees. One instructor is currently working on his PhD.
